Vision Australia is being funded to tailor a Be Connected digital literacy program to meet the needs of the blind and low vision community. Through the delivery of short courses in 29 locations (each to be registered with the Be Connected Network and supported to establish their program) and use of Be Connected resources, the Vision Australia project will demonstrate how the Be Connected program can be used to support this community, including creating accessible program resources suited to people using assistive technology to learn digital skills and evaluating successes and pain points for future program roll out. Through the project, Vision Australia will support 500 people who will register on the Be Connected Learning Portal.
