Get Online Week Event grants help community organisations host a digital skills event during Get Online Week (16-22 October 2023)

Get Online Week events give people the chance to find the local support they need to improve their digital skills and get motivated to learn more. The grants support community organisations to host these events by covering some of the costs involved.

Get Online Week grants are now closed, but you can still participate this Get Online Week. There is many ways to get involved.

About Get Online Week

Get Online Week is an annual digital inclusion campaign organised by Good Things Foundation. Last year, 500+ community organisations around Australia held a Get Online Week event grant, helping people with limited digital skills learn something new online.

This year Get Online Week will be held 16 - 22 October 2023.

Get Online Week grants help you get involved

The grant supports community organisations to host fun digital skills events during Get Online Week, promote their digital inclusion program and reach new people. Grant funding can be spent on marketing, learning resources, catering, venue hire, staff and volunteer expenses, and event costs.

Get Online Week event grants are offered by Good Things Foundation through the Be Connected program.

Host a fun and engaging event

Get Online Week grants support community organisations to host creative, fun and engaging digital skills events in their local community.

Each event is different. During Get Online Week, people have learnt how to find YouTube tutorials about their favourite craft, gone on a QR code treasure hunt, and even holidayed from their armchair!

A digital twist on a classic game.

Surat Library hosted a Get Online Week event by playing a classic game with a creative new digital twist. Combining the rules of bingo with the song-identifying phone app Shazam, attendees raced to name songs using their devices.

Prior to their musical bingo event, attendees were shown how to access and use music streaming apps. Since then, attendees have been using their new skills to stream and listen to music online at home.
